Thank you for your interest in becoming a Manistee Area Ambassador! Ambassadors demonstrate their willingness to serve with the Manistee Area Chamber and the business community by promoting economic development for and within Manistee County.

Ambassadors' Mission Statement

To actively support and promote the success of local businesses and the broader community by building strong relationships, providing helpful resources, and creating opportunities for growth through Chamber events, business site visits, and community initiatives. Our focus is on empowering businesses and community members by connecting them with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to succeed.

Who is an Ambassador?

An Ambassador is a dedicated and experienced Chamber investor who is passionate about serving the community. Ambassadors are committed to supporting local businesses by fostering positive relationships, mentoring new investors, and promoting collaboration. They actively participate in Chamber and community events, ensuring that every business feels valued and connected to a network of shared success.

Ambassadors take on the role of:

Volunteering time to help at various Chamber programs, initiatives, and events.
Reaching out to provide information regarding the benefits of investing in the Chamber, and helping other investors understand the community-wide value of their investment.
Inviting new investors to participate in Chamber and Community events.
Helping investors connect with each other and foster business relationships, further enhancing their membership value.
Assisting the Chamber with investor retention and identifying potential new businesses for investment.

Expectations & Commitments

Ambassador Responsibilities & Expectations

Commitment & Participation

Volunteer 3–5 hours per month on Ambassador-related activities, events, and programs
Attend Ambassador meetings
Participate regularly in Chamber programs, ribbon-cuttings, and community events

Engagement & Outreach

Conduct at least three outreach calls or visits per month to support investor retention
Welcome and assist new investors in building connections and understanding Chamber benefits
Share feedback, updates, and business insights with Chamber staff

Advocacy & Promotion

Actively promote the Chamber and its benefits to current and prospective investors
Support Chamber events through social media engagement and community presence
Refer potential new investors and encourage participation in Chamber programs

Professionalism & Program Standards

Accept additional Ambassador assignments as designated by Chamber staff
Stay informed by regularly reviewing Chamber communications, including newsletters and the website
Adhere to the Ambassador Attire Guidelines, Code of Ethics, and Investor Interaction policies
Serve as a positive and professional representative of the Chamber in all interactions

Overall Engagement

Ambassadors are encouraged to actively participate in all aspects of the Chamber and the broader community
